Nanjing Me

The sky is dirty linen
Hung on Heaven's floor,
And the earth is littered with vagabonds
Begging because they're poor.

The subway each day
Is convenient and quite swift
Whether I'm off to see family
Or shopping for a small gift.

Most girls here are beautiful,
With figures that are divine,
Though some of their habits
Are less than refined.

Like, just yesterday,
On the subway seat rows,
I saw a beautiful girl
With her finger up her nose.

But, I am loving being here
More and more each morn,
And a hungry air of anticipation
Has replaced the bitter scorn.

For I start teaching soon,
As I frantically prepare my courses,
Careful to find the best information
From the most legitimate sources.
