cut me make me real

silver stained red,
tainted by the blade,
scars from the heart,
bleeding from pain,
watch me bleed for you,
feel my pulse under the blade,
watch my world swirl,
watch my sins bleed away,
cut me, make me real,
waiting for the blade to take it away,
waiting for more tears,
burn me, make me real,
watch the skin melt,
wait for the pain to melt away,
feel the fire,
feel my inferno,
feel the demons scratch at my arms,
cover my scars, take them away,
I don't want to bleed for you but I do,
I don't want to feel you but I do,
I don't want the blade across my arms,
I don't want the flame to melt my pain,
They will never go away,
scar my eyes so I can't see what you've done to me,
scar my arms cos I need it to take you away,
feel me inside, feel me bleed from the blade.

Such a strong feeling of trying to exorcise your demons, but it will never be found this way. Strong poem, thank you for entering the contest. Good luck.
