All I Have

If I could have my way,
we'd travel the world,
to far-off places,
enjoying the scenery and each other,
occasionally cocooning ourselves in plush bedsheets
and not coming out for days.

We'd see the sights,
living off love and sunlight
and whatever your heart desired,
I'd shower you with exotic gifts,
loving every moment
that you face lit up,
loving that I could do that for you.

I'd take you to new places,
and we'd explore together,
late into the night,
under the full moon and the stars,
the darkness surrounding us.

If I won the lottery,
I'd spend it on you,
buying silly gifts just to make you laugh,
and sweet presents that had no use
but made me think of you.

But all I have to give you now
is me

and sometimes I worry
that I am not enough.
