Jaded Memories

Thinking through a haze that is all but a dream, you've ripped the tedious patchwork from the seams
Reliving one moment left to gasp, I fell into a rotation I could never grasp
Gestures swifting me on to a ride, I stumbled out of a plane 400 feet high
Now I sit here contemplating, what was, what could have been, and why
All you can do is sit back, watch afront, and sigh
Thought you were there to give me relief
All you've done is set me back into grief
Don't worry, I do not despair
I look back upon our jaded memories with no care, just an empty, empty glare
Thought you were there to teach me right
Thought you were there to teach me love, peace, and push out me to flight
All you did was take away my might
All I know is that I'm happy you're out of my sight

What did you think
