Noire,greenish and poisonous,
cold freezing,
in heaps,
incoherent and sad,
in flakes that were shambles,
she was an emotional wreck,
some black african mamba had bitten,
and bitten deep in,
soul had been torn,
and faith was tattered and worn,
she was at mercy of HIM,
seeking succour and relief,
forlorn and gone,
she had none.
I happened by chance,
I was aghast and stung,
that was cruel,
to have a full man,
dust a poor soul in duel,
and leave her bad,
sad,
and red,
I lovingly palmed the heap,
the poison stung me,
made me green,
before I could begin the wean,
the cold had me freeze,
I prayed for a warm breeze,
she responded,
with some embers sparkling here and there,
I searched frantically still where.
Lovingly I had them all together,
I blew an air of warmth,
filled with affection,
and reflection,
carefully sewing the flakes,
to make them dissolve,
the horrible poisonous ice,
that had gripped like vice,
soon she melted,
and became one whole,
then she melted more,
and became another soul,
soon she was full and up,
and smiling like ever before,
I am telling the truth and not a lore.
Nursing her to health,
on a personal stealth,
I did it for more,
mistimed,
as I did,
and she had unfortunately hid,
her fragile in,
turned into my sin,
I only whispered,
That I will be along,
on my way,
not for long,
she again got it all wrong,
and took it as a theme song.
She crashed and fell,
like a 'without walls well',
crashing inwards,
shaking my innards,
I saw to my horror,
that she was in heap,
in a terrible weep,
in shambles,
and shambles,
that were posionous,green and black,
I rued that I lacked tact.
Shall I rise to save her yet again?

Survival instinct
A poem of intense pain and intense healing and regression. Poisonous imagery lends a sense of intent and malicious behavior, but may also be survival instinct. Ending with a question always leads to a second read, at least in my case, and then further thought which tends to inspire writers. Without any personal interpretation, this poem becomes a truly thoughtful piece for the mantle place.

I am not that much of a mess but yes, you did help a great deal, dear friend. Thanks for sewing the flakes, they won't be torn again. I assure you.
