I can't change the things that I've done
I can't change the moon or the sun
I CAN change the way that I feel
Being a part of the things that are real
I can't change what others believe
Can't make them see what I see
If God has given free will
Who am I to change what you feel
I can't change anothers perception
Nor remove their veil of deception
What I know I cannot impart
I can only give love from my heart
I CAN endeavor to conquor my fear
Of the unknown that I long to be near
To walk towards the sun and glide with the wind
Without yokes, without fetters, and certainly no sin
I can't give what's not mine to give
Nor require you to live as I live
We CAN share a moment in time
Giving love from a heart that's divine
I can only wish you the best
In this life we labor then rest
Though death may challenge as we rise and fall
It's my choice to love most of all
Please tell me what you think

Your words are so true, sometimes we make choices in life, and sometimes there is no way than to accept what has been given to us. I would like to add to this... I cannot help but think that all is well with you! Hope you are fine Albert, I didnt see this one earlier, your words were so much needed. Please come here regularly. You still healing trees? Been long since we spoke.
Take care and hope to speak soon
Love and light

Hello Lencio, my dear friend. It is so good to hear from you. Over these few years I've been inspired and motivated by conscious minds, as yourself, to dip into the pool of living water and be refreshed. K.Gibran very accurately wrote: and it drinks me as I drink it. You're always in my thoughts and heart. Regards to your family. Alberto.

Thank you for your comment. More than a poem, it's a state of being that allows me to interact, accept and maintain myself above the fray of what life may bring to bear. Peace.
