Outside
rain falls in sheets,
shakes the apple tree;
we will have a baking day,
to stir the sluggish senses
from the suck of atmospheric tides;
Spreading sheets of greased paper,
we boil the hot buttered sugar;
You stand on a chair at my side
engrossed in finger licking questions.

Excellent imagery. Loved "rain...shakes the apple tree/we will have a baking day". Delightful "engrossed in finger licking questions."

I like the warm images that come to my mind, reading this, makes me feel great. I can almost see this tender kitchen scene, at the same time picturing a large window, where you can see it raining so hard the apples are falling to the ground. Great write. Thank you for your kind comments on Beautiful Day! I'm glad that you found it inspiring, that was my goal... I want the reader to feel happy and uplifted.
Hope yours truly is a beautiful day.
Blessings...
Amy
