For reasons of her
a mere heartbeat away
in moments with Jules, I emerged
the embellish flower
like two divas over a pond …so vast
we lifted our skirts
and tiptoed through the azaleas
no more sacred, when we last touched
are these framed photographs
of emotional highs and sinking moments
if anything more, I care to remember
is the footless trod of our hearts,
when we were together
