Ghosts

We never made love
you only fucked me
INside & OUT
made your mark
Saying you loved me always sounded
like a damn apology
Stolen kisses of marlboro and long island tea
Finally the alcohol addiction bit me
We tried our best though, didn't we?
Trying to keep up with a drunk
suicidal manic, dancing in the park
at midnight..to some lilting tune
you can't remember nor forget
Pointing a shogun at the *stars*
so they can dissolve with the rest
of life's beauty
Watch them bleed into ash
If only there were something left to glue back
Make it last
Fortune tells of days the same
You don't even play happy
And I stomach bitter pills to remain numb enough not to notice
the thick cloud of misery
Would we have stayed this course knowing the end?
Still adore me even then?
That girl..who  I once was
is the one I can never forget

secretly questioning this relationship and the person i have become in regards to it

And this is pain, this is life, this is what it means to love and to be alive.

I like it, I like it so!

    Very well written, but sad.
Unfortunaly There is much sadness and darkness in this world, but within darkness there is always light.
I know you can get through this! ^^
as they say, "fall seven times, get up eight."

    I've been there before...
And I'm sorry that you are there now.

I hope things get better for you-
But even if something doesn't work out...
At least something beautiful came from it.

    Glad you got this out.
As always, I look forward to reading more.
