Fake smiles and faker emotions:
These act as my shield, masking the true me
Hiding down deep inside, staying away from the world
Hating hurting, hating hiding
My mind is my save haven; It is the only world I live in
It is my last thread, where I cling with all my strength to humanity
And I cling for dear life, holding myself up above the abyss
All in the hope that some day I can be free from this world I tire of
All in the hope of truly feeling the sun touch my face

I like the first two lines they drew me in (not sure about faker), did you want save or safe? The mind is a fantastic world in every sense of the word. You have some nice lines putting this together. I much enjoyed reading, well done.

I like that....like living the life is just a midstep to where you want to be...
How the entire time it seems like you cannot take it..but you hold on anyway...
