Animosity

Cool composure
Calm demeanor
Grace and gentleness, just a facade

The onyx cage that holds you back, locked
The bars are weakening in their resolve, slowly getting thinner
The lock is rusting away in protest of being kept shut for so long
The rage builds up, the angry bear pacing furious in its prison

And then the lock opens...

Good poem and would never have thought about one, like this and the way it was put together. Loved the way it flowed. Good luck in the contest. Take care and have a great day.

  • I think this is my favorite....
I love the imagery...and anyone who uses the word facade has my approval...
    I love that word...
and the open end was a very wise decision...it gives myself and other readers the idea that anything could happen and what ever it is it prolly isnt good...
    Another job well done<3
