My lullaby lavender days.

And still you sing me Lullabies

those sweet tunes from long ago

but with them I associate a comfort

of lavender scented days I know.

Your bordered path of purple hue

a welcome to your door

The waft I came to love so much

in memory forever stored.

You used it for Medicinal puposes

to relax me off to sleep

making oil to jist each room

are reveries I'll always keep.

It is years now since that day

when you took flight and went above

You send me little feathers now that

i scent with lavender and love.

You see I am a replica of you

My children are akin to this smell

they love to hear the stories of

my lullaby lavender days

Marti just gave me a lavender plant for our anniversary. I like to think of lullabies and lavender, they just fit.

The most beautiful remebrance I have read in a long time... it is comforting to pass on the calming old ways. We can stop and think, in this harried life there is still need for it.
