~~The Sea of Love~~

Missing image
~ . ~

Come, my love,
follow me
to the place we were born...
the primordial sea.

Just you and me,
'at home' in the sea,
deeply in love

No earthly woe
can ebb love's flow
nor stem love's tide

No need to weep,
our trust will keep
us safely anchored

Stormy seas
won't bother me
as long as we're together

When we can't cope,
bubbles of hope
will keep us afloat

Til that glorious day
waves sweep us away
and we're one with the sea

The beckoning, blissful,
ethereal, wistful,
glistening Sea
~~of~~Love~~

I like the poem and the video, but, to be sinserely honest I disliked the music...Not to be rude or disrespectful, But the poem was great and all but the song just kill it for me...All in all a great read...

    Dear Maur-een,

The best laid plans of mice and men.....here I am back again after more than two hours as we had unexpected visitors and it is not my way of hospitality to disappear into my study leaving Edna to entertain them in the lounge. But now they have gone, I've played the video with its beautiful and fitting song, all of which must have taken a lot of time to put together. Did you do it all yourself? It was well worth the long wait before I could view it.
Of course, your adorable poem is the supreme and crowning glory of this entry and I hope it gets many votes as it deserves.
Applause, love and hugs, XXX Hugh.

      Dear Hugh,

Thank you for telling me what occurred between your first and last comment (which was also well worth waiting for). All of my videos take several hours to complete. I've never had any help with them (except perhaps to borrow an mp3 I couldn't find on the 'net for free). I'm very happy you enjoyed the video and my poem (especially after you invested so much time making sure you didn't 'miss' anything). Did you recognize the beautiful pink sunset on the shore? A very good friend of mine sent that to me in a post card.

      Love and Hugs,
      Maureen

    Dear Maureen,

This is actually my fifth attempt to comment on your entry but I want to view the U-Tube video before I start and on my antiquated dial-up PC, it takes more than 30 minutes to buffer before I can play it. As you know, my PC time is limited so I had to knock off each time. Now I'm determined to see it to the end and will come back and comment in half an hour or whenever it's done.
I'm sure it's worthwhile or you wouldn't have put it up there.
Just so you know - as General MacArthur said: "I will return".

    Love and hugs, XXX Hugh.

      Dear Hugh,

I thought you had found a way to watch You Tube videos without having to wait so long (refer to Big Boobs video listed in my poem "Boobologist Extraordinaire"). Sorry to hear you've already made five attempts to comment on my entry. I really appreciate your efforts to see the 'complete presentation'. I hope you enjoyed the video!

God bless you, Hugh! You have proven once again that you are a true friend.

      Hugs and Kisses,

      Maureen

Is there a way to watch U-Tube without having to wait? I'll pay a revisit to "Boobologist Extraordinaire" to see what is disclosed therein but it'll have to be later as I am taking Edna to our Lodge "Happy Hour" which she enjoys every month when she feels up to going. A group of us go afterwards for a dinner at a nearby restaurant. Wish you could join us. I'd love that and think you would too.
        Love and hugs, XXX Hugh.

You are right..I would love to go to dinner with Edna and you and the group from your Lodge. I'm sure I would have a good time! I checked "Boobologist Extraordinaire" and couldn't find the part where you told me you found a way to view the video I wanted you to see. I'm thinking you must have sent me an IM letting me know what you did in order to see it (it's times like these that make me wish I had a better memory).

          Love and Hugs,
          Maureen

    Truly an impressive piece, Maureen.

It is a package of perfection from the beauty and sentiment of the words to the musical montage and background.

This is so lovely, Maureen. And the background is perfect with it. The images and fusion of words and emotion fill this poem with the tranquility of the sea and what love should be.
A beautiful write and I wish you the best in the contest

    Ah----both welcoming and dangerous---
the sea--of love. A beautiful experience
you have created here, the visual illusion,
the audio and the gently moving lines
    so remiiniscent of the ocean.

Ah the sea of love. The last time I nearly drowned in it and have since drained that sea so it won't happen again. It's now a barren wasteland, as it should have always been, lol

It's quite lovely speaks those feelings when love washes over us immerses us in its waves. It should do quite well in the contest, I should think.

That background is cool. It looks like an odd looking dodo bird or something, which I doubt it was meant to be, but I see what I see.

Hi Yem, Thanks for your comment. Sorry to hear you nearly drowned in the sea of love and all that's left is a barren wasteland. Maybe, next time, you could try the swimming pool of love (and make sure you stay in the shallow end). lol

The 'dodo birds' are dolphins, our friends in the sea...always willing to lend a helping fin (if you should find yourself in trouble again).

P.S.: Love your avatar...it is so appropriate for this poem!

Ah, of course they are dolphins! How weird I couldn't see that this morning. It was this weird cartoon-like dodo bird, lol. What's weird is, I can't see the bird now. Never drink Moxie before 6 a.m.
