Beneath the fiery moon, ablaze in burning blood
The creatures of the night, flee even this the fervent flood
A demon of the earth, like acid creeping cross
Drowning out the life, and caring not for living loss
Dragging at the souls, who scream a silent song
The ashen fingers scar, left lingering far too long
In the morning light, it dawned in deep despair
Unleashed upon the world, with no concern or care
Birthed by hand of man, a cindering draw of death
Assassin so unseen, it’s fueled by bleeding breath
Author notes
I was inspired by the blood red moon outside my house that was caused by a forest fire a few miles away.

I loved your use of alliteration in this, you certainly have got that device mastered.
I think your vivid descriptions made this write a strong write.
Thanks for entering.
