Beads scattered across the floor

Little beads of glass
shattered like my broken heart
blackened in ink- down to the core
and millions of pieces-

a puzzle that will never be pieced together again
No glue, nor tape can fix these tears,
these rips, the broken pieces from a affair

The life out of me has evaporated
like water in a shattered glass
and my emotions bleed from a hole
from a shot made of brass

Author notes

I think I got my poetic touch back I have no idea where the thought of composing the poem came from.
