When you're rejected
When someone turns you away
because of who you are
because of the way you look
It hurts
You can sometimes feel like there's something wrong with you
Don't do it
There's nothing wrong with you
You are unique
You are special
Don't be affraid of what you are
Look inside of yourself
Search within yourself
You'll be free from your emptiness
Find strengh in something that will guide your way
Please don't cry
I know what you feel
I've been there
Your uniqueness has so much to offer
Find a path to take a high road
There's always going to someone who'll lift you up

Very nice. I like the way you wrote this poem because you don't use frilly language or imagery or literary elements; it's just "plain and simple", and I like that. It works especially well for the message you're conveying b/c it's not hard to relate to your words and it's easy to understand the meaning of your poem too. I guess that's really what I wanted to say.
