A single light that never dims,
This warmth that grows into the night.
No fading flicker in the wind,
But steady, living, breathing light.
When night crawls black across the land
And midnight spills into the fire,
My beacon stretches out its hand
To touch the glow of sweet desire.
No storm with billowed cheeks will douse
And flameless light will always burn.
For should he ever seek this house,
This light will guide his heart's return.
A candle on my window's sill,
My single light awaits him still.

I really liked the way the poem closed at the end. It was immensely satisfying. Well constructed and, again - the ending was a taste of brilliance
