By the window
In the rain
Fresh whiffs of brown baked soil
Drenched in sudden showers
Bright yellow flowers of an overgrown creeper
Drops dancing on big green leaves’ bosom
Little, raincoat-wrapped, smiling faces
Bright umbrellas, walking on the road
Soaked sparrows, fluttering, chattering
Perching on the wooden window sill
Twinkling drops, hanging loosely in a row
From the electricity & telephone cables
Cows, chewing the cud, twitching tails
Huddled beneath the roadside tree
And a palm, stretched, out of a window
Trying to hold the joy, that drips from the sky
