True Gold Sings

Is there anything I could possibly need
in this world or even the next?
Is there one more thing or word more important
than what is by now in the text?
Could I possibly need more than I have now,
when more might serve only to vex?
It's true, I have all that anyone could need,
the necessities of this fleeting life time:
food to nourish me and to share with others,
those with not even a spare dime.
I am covered above and upon my flesh,
while some have not a box in kind.
Though I am considered poor by this world's wealth,
I'm richer than all royal kings:
my true gold is possessing the mind of Christ,
God's Precepts are my jeweled rings,
and for silk the Holy Ghost is my garment.
Without my Lord, Truth could not sing.
Is there anything I could possibly need
in this world or even the next?
Is there one more line or word more important
than what is by now in the text?
Not all of earth's gold could so finely clothe me.
Nay, more is greed bearing a hex.

Beautiful! There is truly nothing greater than knowing God is with us always. You can't take the physical stuff with you when you leave and what better garments to meet the Lord in than the silk of the Holy Ghost. Beautiful description!

Yes, indeed the goodnews draws us to the light of the world. I have been convinced also that Christ is the way. In fact the only way -

How beautiful and such a testimony for our Lord. We have all we need but so many want more and more and never can get enough because their hearts are not right with God. Its so sad because they will never be happy and will forever search for they know not what. We must live as examples for them to seek what we have. You do great inspirational poems. Keep penning. I love your work.

Among the abundance of things hidden in plain sight, souls tricked into believing they are separate beings, hide and look past the gold and and traps present.
