Got me pinned in a corner
Got me pinned to your lies
Got me pinned between bed sheets
With just a look of your eyes
And now I’m starting to wonder
If you were ever to go
And took out those pins
How long would I hold?
‘Cause I have a patchwork heart
And you are tearing it apart
You put back the pieces
Of my broken dreams
But now you’re pulling away
And I’m being torn at the seams
Got me pinned to your promises
Even though they’re so easy to break
Got me pinned to your excuses
Don’t know how much more I can take
You’re holding me down
Wish the binding thread I could sever
But you’re the only thing
That’s keeping me together
‘Cause I have a patchwork heart
And you are tearing it apart
The needle cannot help me now
The final choice must be mine
‘Cause there is nothing we can do
To unwind the fabric of time
Author notes
A song I wrote for a friend who is giving me mixed messages. I like him, but he doesn't like me, though his actions beg to differ. Sound better with the music. lol.
