with someone that means a lot to you?
I would much rather just walk side by side. This allows me to spend time with someone, enjoying their presence and companionship, yet still maintain my own sense of independence even while giving them my full attention. It allows me to feel the nearness of them without feeling confined. Maintaining that feeling of independence, for me, says that I am free to be me in any and every situation.
2. Do you see yourself as a dog or cat person?
Hmmm, dog or cat... What, no monkeys?
I am an animal lover all the way. However, no matter how much I love them all, I don't really have the time or the lifestyle that permits me to devote a lot of time to an animal that requires pretty regular attention, so for that reason alone, I would have to go with the ever independent cat. Cats are not only independent they also have an air of being oh-so-sure of themselves. I like that.3. What do you like to drink throughout the day?
(coffee, tea, juice, milk, soft drinks)
Wow. I drink water more than anything else but next to that it would have to be my daily latte from Starbuck's. I am so addicted that a day without one literally leaves me with a craving.
4. Where would you like to live if you could be there now?
(city, country, or your own personal paradise)
I like the convenience of the city, the night life and the cultural. BUT, I dream of the peace and calm of the country. The lush green hillsides, statuesque trees, wildflowers of one kind or another in bloom all year round, the awe and joy one feels from spotting a deer now and again and finding an overflowing, ripened berry bush to raid.
It's gotta be country for me.5. If you could turn back the clock, what age would you
like to go back to, and why?
First of all, going through life once is enough for me.
I am happy and content with my life as it is now and even though I regret certain mistakes and choices I made, I am also smart enough to know that without having gone through what I went through I wouldn't be the person I am today and I would have missed just as much either way... if that makes sense. However, since you ask for a certain age I guess I would say infancy, back to a time when my parents held me close and sheltered me and cared for me, back when somebody else had to worry about feeding me, clothing me, keeping me safe, providing for me and all those other things that we as adults have to do for ourselves now. Some of us just didn't know how good we had it!6. If it was possible to met someone you know now,
somewhere in your pass, what would you hope
would have been the out come?
I guess I would have to admit that there has been a gentleman or two that I wouldn't have minded meeting and having in my life longer than they have been. We are good friends, close friends, and l I have such great respect for them. I also have that sense of knowing that I can count on them no matter where I am or what the circumstances surrounding my life. As for the outcome, I guess it would simply be that the friendship we now have would have been forged long ago and made that much stronger by now. Having someone like them in my long ago would have been a great comfort. Not to mention they have no problem reining me in when I get too headstrong.
It would have saved me some hard knocks. 7. Tell me what is your favorite season, and why?
(spring, summer, autumn, or winter)
I love Autumn. To me, it has always signified the changing of color, crispness in the air, the beginning of the holiday seasons and a time when family draws even closer and friends drop in more frequently if only for a quick cup of coffee or some hot tea to warm their tired weary bodies. I live in a pretty central location to the majority of my family and friends as well as the places they are known to shop frequently so I get drop in visits all the time and I love it. It's the best time to try out new recipes and share decorating ideas.
8. What is your favorite holiday, and why?
CHRISTMAS. It has a lot of spiritual as well as familia importance to me. My family still gathers together this time of year. We all attend the same church for Christmas services and the Christmas meal is always held at my parents home. My mother, my sisters-in-law and I will get together and bake goodies days ahead of time so it's also a fun time for just the ladies to gather, chat up on all the family news and share a lot of laughs. The whole exchanging of gifts isn't bad either.

9. Tell me what else you want me (and all of AP)
to know about you. This is where you can add anything.
This has already been a lot more information than I ever thought I would be sharing about myself.
Although I love my family, and I adore my friends, I also need my "just for me" time as well. This is time I spend reading, writing or just gathering my thoughts. It's that time of day I very much look forward. I let my hair down, I unwind and I feel free at peace within myself as well as with everything surrounding me. There are many layers to my personality. What appeals to me stretches from the most simple of things to the most luxurious and lavish. I am a romantic, a true lover by nature, but I will defend those I love and hold dear to the very end. When it comes to my beliefs, I am most passionate and stand firm on what and whom I believe in. I am fiercely loyal and have the heart of a caregiver.
