Strike Of The Gavel...

Put me up in court
And I'll glad testify
You can point your finger
Saying, "That's the guy"
I'll admit what I did
I'll admit what I hid
I'll show you I was wrong
I've been sorry all along
Guilty as charged
I'll face the consequence
Strip away my wings
I'll never be heaven sent
I understand this
And I'll bear this pain
Cuff me up
I'm a washed up, reject spiralin down the drain
Apologies and notes
They'll never add up
You're sick of my words
You've had enough
What's my punishment?
What is my sentence?
Will you put me to my end?
Will you finish this?
Do what you will
I don't deserve to live
I'm sorry again
I'm sorry I slid
Judge, control these folks
They wanna see me hang
Tap the mallet three times
Let the sound create a bang
I still have words
Words I need to say
I never meant to hurt you
I'm sorry for the past
I'm sorry for today
You don't deserve this
Not a criminal like me
To prove I mean it
I'll gladly bleed
I broke all the laws
In this game of love
I was wrong in my doings
Staying true is tough
Your honor...
I'm finished
Every word, I meant it
Lock me up
Throw away the key
Solitary confinement
For my life, for eternity
This is my sentence
One I can handle
This day is over
After the strike of the gavel....

Author notes

Sooooooo I like how I wrote this in terms of me pleading my case in court. A few lines need to be fixed, but I wasn't going for a set pattern. This is actually an apology I've been working on for someone I hurt. Their birthday is coming up and I was going to give it to them to let them know that I am sorry, since I never actually apologized for what I did....
