from my eyelids
I remove dreams
braided of gossamer’s
old fashioned lace,
gently, so gently,
not to break
the fine yarn.
morning meets me
hugged
in your arms.
in the air
the fragrance
of scented linen,
myrrh and vanilla
from the candle
that burned itself off.
I smell you,
and you
still sleep
smiling.

Ahhh, lovely, my dear Friend. The scent of one's beloved is such a heady fragrance, is it not? Good luck in the contest, Sweetie.

-
inspiring.
I love the materials you use. Gossamer, lace, myrrh, linen; all beautiful and they make me feel (childish as this may sound) gooey.
only word for it.

Yours
is a recurrent style unlike anyother poet I have read. Lovely.
