~Wobbly ( *A Little Blues Thang!)

.

Is that ne-cess-ar-y?

You won me over at hello.

Now, you got my knees so weak,

they feel wobbly as J. e. l. l. o.

Now it's time for me to fly, fly, fly, fly.

No need to ask me why, why, why, why.

You made me such a happy fellow, fellow, fellow, fellow.

You won me over at hello.

Seems I've always been the joker, yeah;

this 'ol world can be so mean.

I'm always at the wrong place at the wrong time

when someone's throwing down the queen.

I feel I'm always walking through my life

without an escort.

When my ship came in,

I was waiting on a cab out at the airport.

But girl, with that fresh smile you're flashin',

these chips I'm gonna cash in and go.

Now, you got my knees so weak,

they feel wobbly as J. e. l. l. o.

Now it's time for me to fly, fly, fly, fly.

No need to ask me why, why, why, why.

You made me such a happy fellow, fellow, fellow, fellow.

You won me over at hello.

this would make an awesome country song
I can just hear it on the radio now

        • Did you know that I am just six hours from Nashville too! I've been dying for some country lyrics to flow from my pen too. I can sound just like Ronnie Dunn in a handful of their songs.

Very nice rhythm and flow on this one!! Great job! I'll be singing this tune all day (probably not the one you intended, but I'll make it up anyway!)

What an origional write! It took me a second to get into the groove of it, but once I realized the nature, it flowed very well. It was very rap/pop-esque to my eye, and certianly keeping that in mind helped the intertprtation. The use of the seperated letters in jello also give the reader a bit of flexability in the way that it in percieved- either spelled out by saying each letter, or by saying the word slower than normal.

Overall, a great fresh write that instantly brings a solid base beat to mind.

My only suggestion might be to re-think the background. I love the pattern and the pitcure, but the first and second stanza are right over the busiest part of the picture and it is slighty visually distracting.

    Thanks for a refreshing read!

  • Good work

This is a song I would bye and sing in the car. Wonderful work and a great story in your lines.

  • That was lovely, the rhythm was greatly portrayed and very fluid. Another exceptional write - do they ever stop?
