The Circus on Buckingham Street

Have you been to Buckingham Street?
There's clowns and there's gypsies and lions to meet.
where everyone's laughing and tapping their feet
Come along swiftly to Buckingham Street.

The carnival's headed to Parliament Square
Their elephants trundle through the thoroughfare
And monkeys do antics with nary a care
The carnival's headed to Parliament Square

There's fanfare and flourish and wonders abound
Where drums fill the air with their rat-a-tat sound
The entry fee's only a little old pound
There's fanfare and flourish and wonders abound

There's hush in the main tent, and the trill of a snare
While high over head flies a daredevil pair
They flip and they twirl and they spin through the air
There's hush in the main tent, and the trill of a snare

Here at the circus on Buckingham Street
two pence for a thrill and a penny a treat
They'll keep you perched at the edge of your seat
Here at the circus on Buckingham Street

Author notes

Just something I threw together in... five minutes? Inspired by the works of Dr. Seuss. I only dream of having his rhyming skills!

The cow goes Moo!

Very fun and bright to read. Definitely Seussian. I can just see the Cat in the Hat as the ring master.
