I wish to be better
A better woman, a better lover, a better friend
Just a better someone in this life I live
Where i am now is not where i wish to be
And where i wish to be is not where i will end up
My life hasn't been a crystal staircase and the world has yet to reveal itself to me
I search for something, perhaps a love, perhaps a solution, but it fuels me to go on
I don't know what the future holds, only that it draws near with each coming day
and i can only hope to be at a better place and running a greater race than that of today.

Sometimes reflecting on our lives makes us think about where we wish to be when all is said and done. These are the thoughts and emotions that kind of spilled out of me as I was working on something else, perhaps I shall come back to them another day....
