My Ghost

Wishing you were here
wishing you would care
about just how much
you really mean to me.
I don’t care
what stupid shit you do
I like you for who you are,
who am I to judge you?
But now you’re a ghost
since you disappeared
I’m left standing here
fingers running through my hair,
clenching onto it
wanting to just rip it all out
in such frustration
as I wish you weren’t a ghost
and that you’d just appear
to ease my thoughts.
But you won’t,
and even though you’re gone
I wish you’d just drop me a sign
every now and then
to let me know that
you’re still watching over me

Author notes

it's sad when some people just kind of disappear from your life without even telling you they're leaving

It's tough when people do that, yes. Very heartfelt message sent here. Good one, young poet.

Truth be told, I wasn't trying to rhyme at all, the words sort of just came out
but i guess that's how it is, isn't it? haha
