Will seasons pass before we meet?
We have spent our lives in separate worlds,
alternate multiverses,
distant,
unrelated,
yet only a hair's breadth apart.
It took but a moment's fortune,
a random click,
to find you here and realize
that we could be as one,
if we would only reach out,
each toward the other.
To make our world as one
together
seems a dream,
hopelessly so,
and yet I dare to dream of this,
to sleep in hope and wish to wake
to find that you are here with me.
Beyond the blue that paints your eyes
I see an ocean of what might be,
a current that could carry me
far from this land of unfulfilled dreams
and wasted time.
The smile that dances on your lips,
a contradiction,
joyful beautiful,
but hiding a secret heart that yearns for more,
as I do.

I am absolutely taken up in the hopeful longing you have so beautifully portrayed here. Your language is gentle, but full of emotion. The quality is wistful. What a wonderful poem you have written.
Sincerely,
