You have penetrated my realm of seclusion, unconsciously invading my thoughts. I cannot breathe because you are neither here nor there. You are so out of place and out of reach yet you linger there, unknowingly selfish, penetrating my mind and my existence, yet you give me nothing in return.
I’m tortured into a cycle of thoughts which leave me struggling with no relief and no conclusion. Why don’t you set me free, you won’t let me go, yet you won’t come to my aid. Instead you wisp this miserable existence with your empty words and bogus affection.

Sometimes for a person to be there for you, in every way, is improbable, as well as impossible. The reality of letting go is in the realization that more often than we like to consider, we must be our own keepers, masters, and instruction...
I know these feelings. Most of my life I have felt the pains of people saying they will do a thing, to no avail. The life lessons I have acquired from feeling as this poem is written are invaluable. I have learned to douse expectations of others and focus on what it is that I expect of myself. If I fail me then others must. You are loved, and thought of more than you even know.
