I heard them!!!

I went there,
so far away.

I heard them,
whispering near!

I listened carefully,
Though I didn't mean it.

I heard them,
Cry for me!

I got scared,
I freezed in my place!

I heard them say,
I am not going to be here again.

I heard them decide,
My next destination.

I got amazed!
Who cares about me,
More than I do?

I wanted to break it,
The silence!

But words won't mean anything.
They won't be heard!

They don't care about me!
They only want to distract me.

They said, I am getting old,
Let's find her a shelter!

A residently home for elder people,
They put a real nice name for it!!

But this is my home,
Where I grow up, & brought them up!

My children grew up,
To throw me in a far place!

I wish I die,
Before tomorrow!!!

Author notes

I put it in a simple form on purpose, I didn't want to use difficult or long words. I wanted it to carry the meaning as it is, & if you read between the lines you'll find something else!!

I am just 24, & I don't expect my children in the future to do me this, and this didn't happen to anyone of my relatives, I just lived this experience through a reality show, & it really really hurts!!

This would definitely be horrible. A nightmare
for sure. What a terrible and scary thing to
do to one's parents. I am sure that some have.
    Thank you for entering.

Wow!!!--Very creative, imaginative & realistic imagery of a very common problem facing the elderly and written by a 24 year old poet--Very VERY well Penned!
Well Done & best of luck in the contest!
