That fragrance still surrounds me
when memory untrudes,
beneath that tree where love first bloomed
with that soft light in your eyes.
T'was springtime in the garden
and also in our hearts,
three scents that mingled lovingly
as love and flowers bloomed.
Together we remember
even though some years have passed,
that glow still shines within your eyes
when we touch that fragrance still pervades.
That tree was planted in our hearts
one day so long ago
and now we have one of our own
where we sit 'neath sunset's glow.
For you have always been the one
our love has never waned,
we pick those leaves, pressed to our hearts
this world forever ours.

a good poem penned, ah love, heart shaped leaves to wrap hearts in, to grow and smile as the years spin by, and yet the memory still sits there within the echoes of love's shining songs, musical life, beating its rhythm.

Very nice poet
These thoughts flow well and lovingly down the write. It is a gift to read a heart.
LINE: 13 I believe you meant "our" hearts not "out" hearts
