dull

when I read things I wrote
years or months or
hell, even weeks ago

I sometimes wonder
how I crammed more life
into the lines of text
on a computer screen

than I did
into the hours of time
in my actual existence.

wow, that's gotta hurt. Loved the title - it's one word with so many meanings and it says so much. I enjoy how concise this poem is. It's very conversational and, in ways, really doesn't sound special - but the over simplicity and the brutal honesty and the brevity of it make me really love it.

    • thank you so much for the thoughtful comment. I always enjoy a comment someone has clearly put a little thought into.

Wow, I love it. I usually hate poetry relating to writing but this poem is special. That ending made was perfect.
