Deep pink lotus on the pond
Brings to mind a song;
Light hearted dancers abound
Upon green pods the lotus will be found
Deep pink head dresses
Surrounded by a deep green leaf;
Often touching each other
Within each lotus reach
Dancing and swirling
Gently they sway;
On leaves covered with sparkling jewels
From the water's tiny pool
Throughout the long hot day
A vision to the eye
As the lotus swirls by:
Gracefully they float away
As we await their pink blossoms
To open,
Once again, another day

a good poem, ah nature at her finest, each individual flower is a work of art, she bends and blows with winds and waters her creations with pleasure and passion alike.

Beautiful as always. I used to have a big pond in my yard in FL and it had pink lotus floating, my pond use to bring such a tranquil feeling too me, even though my life was in shambles and was being abused by my ex-husband. It seemed I could go to my pond and feed my fish and try to escape from reality long enough to hold on for another day.
Thanks for sharing your amazing write, with such vivid imagery and emotion the flow and meter are perfect.
