You're on fire.
You're a star burning deep within my desire,
You fall endlessly through the black,
You can always get further
But can never come back.
You inspire, all I can do is admire,
I'll spend my life trying to reach you,
But as sure as this universe expands
And the limit of these two hands,
You've drifted too far.
But I can still see your flame
But I cant feel your heat
I could live without aim
But it'll feel incomplete,
I could end it all now
If i could just let go,
I'd surrender my soul
in quid pro quo.
To feel the beat of your blood
running though your lips,
A glint of your hearts beauty
annular eclipse.
To see a smile in your eyes,
to know there's joy in your soul,
and that you know the truth,
in your heart,
there's a star out there
that will make you whole.
What did you think

a good poem, ah the light of love, sometimes it is too far away from our reach and we have to just admire from afar and live in the sighs which bind us. the yes, they hold galaxies at times, sparkling.

Wow. This was stunning. You did a fantastic job with the imagery in this. The rhyming was off-beat, but it did well in this poem. I especially love the last stanza. Welcome to AllPoetry!
Write on.
