The Last hours of Darkness

The dark clouds will hover, evading the moonlit skies
And the racing wind then will bellow out war cries
The lightning claws will then strike the trees and ground
And the thundering of clouds will cause havoc all around

The Gods in the Heavens will have opened a war on earth
They shall say that man; is ruining the place of his birth.
Man then would have gone to far to make any amend
And God would certainly decide to swiftly bring the End.

All devices of Mother Nature, then will be put into motion,
And her powers are such that, there can be no opposition
All who dare to withstand will be just torn down in her rage,
All life forms will cower in Her unrestrained deadly barrage

There is nothing that can help when God will forget to care
It would be the last moment that all life-forms shall share.
He warns and shows us mercy that we certainly don’t deserve
For we are the ones who destroy and never try to preserve.

I know all that’s born shall one day surely meet its end,
But when that night shall dawn, upon man will depend…!

Author notes

This sounds a lot sardonic and sad, in loss of hope perhaps. But thats what I felt when I was reading my Environment textbook (at last! - exams coming you know!) I was just feeling very sad after seeing the horrific torture mans has been putting the Earth through. Anyways, its pretty good write too!

    Bingo!!

That's exactly the message I've been trying to portray in a number of poems I have written. That's the way I feel. I feel as if we should go back to the way we were in the beginning. Before everything was falling apart, and before our very atmosphere started disappearing. Great job expressing this. Very well done!! Keep up the great work!!

It is a grand reminder and message for all humanity to reflect individually how he or she affects the circle of life. Indeed, I am almost certain of the "I should's" that flutter in all minds when reading your poetic conviction.

The pic is breathtaking both visually and emotionally. I love your symmetry of intelligence and emotion.

    Well done...
