Water Dripping

I'm so tired
sleeping, unrest
water dripping
through holes in the ceiling
creating puddles upon my chest.

I'm still sleeping
dreaming, stressed
water dripping
through holes in the ceiling
creating panic inside my chest.

I'm still screaming
nightmaring, oppressed
water dripping
through holes in the ceiling
replacing panic with liquid in my chest.

I'm still drowning
silenced, suppressed
water dripping
through holes in the ceiling
now bursting from holes about my chest.

I'm still trying
strong, possessed
water dripping
through holes in the ceiling
clutching heart beats inside my chest.

I'm still dying
six minutes, at best
water dripping
through holes in the ceiling
nothing left living inside my chest.

I'm still nothing
broken, at rest
water stopped dripping
through holes in the ceiling
never wake to find these puddles on my chest.
