Hand & Hand

Hand and hand we walk through life; together we face the
troubles and fears of the world.  Hand and hand we face
our feelings helping and holding each other when we're afraid.

Hand and hand we walk along the beach; and smell the sea
air and watching as the sun dances upon the blue ocean waters.
As we near the water we stop to watch as a school of baby
fish race to catch up with their mother.

I turn to her and gaze into her eyes, I see comfort and joy;
as I begin to tremble and shiver.  My body now
quivers as we move closer to each other.  I see the
sun as it begins to descend into the water as a cinnamon hue
with pink clouds fill the sky above.

We slowly move from the water and onto the beach.
As I build a fire she lays out a blanket on the sand.
I now hold her in my arms, together we watch as the sun
slowly fades and the day turns to night.  We watch as the
moon begins to flicker on the water, the light patterns
changing with every passing wave.  She turns to me and
smiles as we reach forward and our lips softly touch I
once again start to tremble.

Now our unclothed bodies move as one as the moon
light glistens across us.  I now sit holding her, the
only sounds I hear are of the waves as they pound
against the shore in a soothing rhythm.  The sun
now begins to appear on the horizon.  I turn to
her tell her what she means to me.

She turns to me, and looks deep into my eyes and softly replies
"I know" and asks if it will last forever.  I look off in the
horizon, and reply that we'd have to take life one step at a time
together hand and hand.
