Tethered

Tethered to myself, I am,
In an undefined labyrinth.

My conscience is stained;
This spirit echoes with my silent screams.
I lie wounded.
Tears act like acids,
Incinerate my wishes.

I stretch my arms,
This vagueness blinds me,
I thirst for a touch,
A silhouette, a word;
I am thirsty.

Too jaded to fight, I am,
My soul’s heavy,
A weight pulls me down.

Procrastination engulfs me into its shadow;
Bitterness consumes me.

My unanswered desires mute me,
Snakes of dilemmas swathe my being
And strangle me,
Contort my world.

There’s no savior,
And I gaze in vain
At the borders, beyond which
Redemption rests.

Author notes

I just wrote about what I am feeling these days..Its about how we limit ourselves and get caught in our own thoughts and confusions.

    Honest

    hey Bro....

    I must congratulate that its a lovely creation from your side. The words that you have crafted made me to imagine the state that you might be going through. But at the same time it infuses a fear in me if everything is allright at your end. Your words are gloomy, your thoughts lil scattered, I am more of happy and sad after reading this piece. I just wish that if you are storming with something in your life, them may you win asap!

    By the by, its great to see you back on AP with such a honest and beautiful poem. I think your creation will give a kick to my thoughts and I will make a comeback to AP damn soon...! hehe

    All the love to you my bro and oyeah will be waiting to read more from your end!

    Love
    Anshu
