When my words were finally spoken,
The twisted secret left so many broken.
I was abandoned, rejected from a family so shamed,
Begging for this person never to be named.
Shamed by the secrets they had hidden,
They told me to stay silent, again my words were forbidden.
For they feared for themselves that I would tell,
The disturbing secret they knew so well.
So all alone I wait for protection,
But it will never come, for they paid no attention,
To my life of hurt, my life of pain.
So as they abandon me, I have to do the same.
