Just Listen

Everything has meaning … time is of the essence … we should all care
This is history in the making
We must ….stop and ….. Stare.

The walls around you crumble…  everyone looks at you wrong
…. Learn from everything.. Forget nothing
Keep your head level … stand strong.

You may feel like you’re in this thing alone…. Like the world is against you … you feel as though you’ve been devoured
Someone’s there…..
Just remember ..the task ahead may be important… but behind you is a greater power.

If you’re anything like me .. Then you’ll think you handle this all on your own…
But you can’t
.. And from your past this has been shown…

To you … there are many things that I need to say…
All the time in the world……. Turn to minutes
..and minutes into day…

I stand by … watching you slowly fall apart
You won’t listen to anything I say….
Too bad a hard head doesn’t make a soft heart…

I try and catch the pieces… at me you grimace so I let them fall
I glare down..
And see my reflection within them all.

We are the same … the same kind
A two way mirror…
Same body…same soul….same mind…

I try to catch your attention… ahead you stare
Trying to be cold
But all along ..you’ve known that I care.

Your walk turns into a faster pace…
I catch up to you…. I turn…
Staring you directly in the face….

You let your head fall…as you glance up.. I see your right eye form a tear…
Why won’t you just let me help you?
… I can make your hurt disappear.

Put all your trust in me … lay your head on my chest
Put all your worries to the side
And I’ll take care of the rest…

I’ve always been here… why can’t you see….
I allowed you to fall ….
So that you could see you needed me ….

You need to come to your senses .. You can’t do this deserted….
You need a guide..
Give me a chance….just one….it’ll be worth it….

I dry your tears …. Ease your mind …
You allow me to carry you….
I’ll be here always….even till the end of time.
