Imagine life without ... water
what would you do?
This is what some people
on this Earth go through.
Imagine life without ... food
how could you cope?
You wouldn't be able to live
there would be no hope.
Imagine life without ... shelter
where would you go?
You wouldn't be able to keep warm
whenever the rain flows.
Imagine life without ... clothes
how could you protect your skin?
Less fortunate go through this
not being able to grin.
Imagine life without ... love
would you be filled with hate?
There'd be nobody to love you back
in the end, it would be too late.
Imagine how people feel
being poor and not being able to live,
no water, food, shelter, clothes, or love
forever being held captive.

Author notes
My heart goes out to and aches for those who are less fortunate than the rest of us. I am not a rich person, but at least I have a big enough heart to care.

Such a strong message. My heart goes out to those so much more worse off than the likes of us. It's so horrible.
Thanks for entering.

it overall was a really great poem with a strong message. my only suggestion is work on the rhyme of the last stanza it takes away from the poem and doesnt concrete the message.
thanks for entering -
Very thought provoking piece--Too often we take our daily luxuries for granted until we see how people are living desperate, deprived lives!
Very Well Penned!
