So many people envy beauty great
describing many benefits they see.
When iridescent splendor seems innate,
Inferred advantage blesses those like she.
But others miss the cost that beauty bares
as superficial beauty will distract.
So often missed, her virtues and her cares,
will lend to loneliness, a sorry fact.
But here’s a secret you must come to know,
that inner beauty overcomes the view,
That time alone will fade the rosy glow
yet burnish bright the beauty that’s in you.
It’s true that time itself can bring a cure
to certain matters sadly we must face
Our time is like a river flowing sure
eroding certain things beyond a trace.
Take heart when facing any prejudice,
The soul of beauty always finds its bliss.

It seems you have overcome your obstacles, whatever they may be. Excellent thoughts, and wonderful work, poet!!

Thanks Bob! "The finger still picks the nose"...so true!
