i have forgottenyourlips
(where,
i do not know--
maybe in a taproom somewhere
at the bottom an empty shooter,
or perhaps in a bathroom stall
where the what_______have beens
!COULD!
&&
!SHOULD!
have regularly thrown up)
to relive a kiss,
just a mere kiss,
so grateful a moment
to open a most special
gift one last time(yet,
how sobering a bargain
to savor such an insatiable taste,
knowing it never will grace your pallet again)
but alas,
i have forgottenyourlips
(where,
i think i now know--
the lips that captured my heart
&
strengthened my soul,
now feed on their
captive
like a starved wolf,
ripping&tearing
it apart)
sine te nihil sum

This is truly amazing and i love this style of poem because it is really quite fantastic to read something as well written and emotional as this because it is so easy to forget a lovers kiss, through choice or not, because you can get so addicted to it, and yet it can fade so quickly, a deep powerful write, well done.
