Were there tears in my wrinkled kerchief?

and in every curl of umber you impregnate melancholy and keratinized doom, the price of sentient existence.

_

suckling
your rabied brilliance
I was widowed of sense
and humanity,

my amnemonic journeys kissing
time and raising goosepimples
in a shy good-bye;

while i

wrapped empty limbs
in my birthday suit
around a tattered frame
barely sentient
any more.

seal my fate in your silent aqua and
pin my life on its hungry sleeves.

fingering my lone astronomical feat
in your weary lips
of tainted azure, and i wonder -

have i ever really lived?

sentience is so over-rated...

Author notes

A bit rusty here. Will get the hang of it eventually.

Very intense piece full of wide use
of language. Overall, this was clever
and full of original concepts. I enjoyed.

Best of luck & thanks for entering
