Out of the open comes a laugh from Ed,
Then from across the room laughs curly headed Ned,
Then comes a giggle from Anna too,
Now there are laughs from Ali, Jack and Sue!
Alex laughs, Evan giggles,
All across the room are wiggles!
I hear a laugh from someone close,
And I look around to see,
Who made the laugh I heard,
And, goodness it was me!
Amy laughed and so did Jane,
Soon enough, the room was insane!
What had started this contagious laugh?
Everyone in the room looked back,
To Ed...
Who was looking at the teacher, who had fallen asleep,
And was drooling.
Author notes
Laughter is obviously contagious, so what better thing to do than write about it?
