Ballad Of A Madman

If I’m caught up in something I cannot explain,
Blocking it out to burn it will satisfy me,
Misunderstanding is a mystery to me,
I do not remember a single speck of such blasphemy,
All knowing I am, the single eye of the world,
You will follow me without question,
And undying puppet to the illusions I put into your head,
Shhh, now, your dream is just beginning,
A lucid reality that you can no longer control,
Now that I am holding the strings you are mine,
I will understand you and rule your head,
Pulling you into a vortex that you weaved for yourself,
Like a spider trapped in its own web,
You will slowly die in your own nightmare.

Monogamously holding on to your single belief,
Like the husband that left you years ago,
And left you clinging to the ghost of his coat tails,
The tears staining your pale face,
Flowing for all eternity they will show your age,
And the shame you brought upon yourself,
For your ignorance and dependency on love,
For it is not real, nor is it a creation of mine,
If there is a God here, he must love playing tricks,
He led you to believe you can drown,
Your sorrow with self harm,
What luck I came upon to find you in such a state,
Broken and weary, holding onto the last tiers of life,
The testaments of your sadness emitting from your eyes,

Steadily remember who and what you are,
Shaped like a lump of clay to my liking,
You are under my care, my wing, and my control,
My fatherly love for you has clouded your vision,
Spread out among the mass of drones I educate,
Speaking poison while you lap it up,
Like starved dogs who haven’t tasted water before,
Bring the cup to your lips and take the last drink of your life,
Drop dead.
