It was just a part of your imagination
It was all just a game
You pretended it was there for some time
Played games and told jokes
It taught you things
Like how to see through your mind
And how to get into trouble
You were best friends
Companions to the end
Until you grew up
When they kept telling you
To stop playing games
To stop acting like a child
Telling you to grow up
And move on with your life
You forgot about it
Now you try to ignore it
You pretend it isn't there
You don't play games anymore
You teach yourself how to live lofe
Your sight is limited
You have no real friends
Love seems like a dream
What happened to the smiling and carefree child
That used to be so happy?
What happened to the good days
Where nothing seemed to matter much
Besides what adventure you were going on next?
Why did you let it die?
Author notes
It's a shame how many people forget how it was to be a child and to forget the little things in life that make you happiest. Being so serious and stiff all the time seems so boring and unfulfilling. Why can't people laugh a little more?
