Purification Of Mortality

This path I chose to walk
Seems to be an endless dream
Bare feet walking on a frozen trail
My wings are almost gone from the fall
Can there really be a thing as a one
winged angel?
In the frigid air I watch my breath flow
quietly
All the sins of the world covered by
a white blanket
For a short time don't we all look pure?
I choose this way, must follow it through
Salvation I can taste as it falls upon
my tongue
No matter what I will find paradise again
Punishment for my sins,heaven was in
my grasp
Immortality is over rated, gladly die
again for the one I loved
Can not feel my feet, they are frozen
now
Covered in snow, covered in redemption
For I shall be reborn a new
The pain shall be worth it in the end
This path I choose to take will lead
me mortality
An angel losing her strings to heaven
Just to be in his arms
Was it really my time to die that day?
Heaven would have been my downfall and
hell would have been my fate
For an angel should not lust
This snowy path is almost at an end I
hope
The door to my resurrection is close
Only beyond the snow and the trees
Is where my heart will beat once again
My wings are gone, I am mortal once
more
Heaven is gone
I walked alone on the road back to life
