Shining forth into the night.
Piercing the darkness with your lantern,
Acting as a beacon of hope.
Your armor glistens,
Sending tendrils of light into the shadows.
You stand as the guardian and protector,
Existing to serve your Master's kingdom
While the shadows sneak around.
You employ your army of stars,
Putting forth your best generals
So that nothing evil will come and cause harm
To the people resting far below.
Piercing the darkness with your lantern,
Acting as a beacon of hope.
Your armor glistens,
Sending tendrils of light into the shadows.
You stand as the guardian and protector,
Existing to serve your Master's kingdom
While the shadows sneak around.
You employ your army of stars,
Putting forth your best generals
So that nothing evil will come and cause harm
To the people resting far below.

Hoodwinked!
Excellent personification & wonderfully delivered with great metaphor & imagery! Glad to see this won you an HM.
I love
this line: 'Sending tendrils of light into the shadows'! This is noteworthy for the type of poem it is & I'd like to suggest that you enter this in more contests when the chance comes up 'cause I believe it's able to garner more than an HM.
Keep up the fine work poet.

Congrats on being hoodwinked. You well deserve it PianoMan. I love the way you portrayed the moon as a guard with all its stars protecting below. It sounds like its doing its job in a derserving manner like you won the hoodwink in a deserving manner. Keep up the penning. You are awesome. I have missed hearing from you. Congrats on the shiney trophy. As usual your writings deserve attention. Very well written as usual. Flow is good and imagery wonderful. Great job! -
Very Well Done
I can see my self looking up at the moon and reading your poem in my head now. You make people look up and think nice work.

-
A beacon of hope...sending forth the stars as soldiers so that evil doesn't prevail is exactly what I see it as when I see the moon. The imagery is outstanding. Excellent. Blessings.

-
I love this piece! There is something so beautiful about an "army of stars." I also love that you didn't directly mention the moon, yet I knew exactly what you were writing about. The shortness was good; you got plenty of imagery in there without it feeling overwhelming, or like you cut if off too short.
Thanks for entering, and good luck

-
what a way to talk about the moon this was amazing well written i liked it great job

-
Cool! Are you referring to the Moon's role as an asteroid shield and stabilizer for the Earth's xis? If so, neatay of doing that.
-
Oooh, I really like this piece. When I first read the title, it really caught my eye. I really love the moon and I think you did an amazing job describing this beautiful entity in the sky. Awesome job dear poet. Keep penning
Always write from the heart
Never give up
