Burning wings, departure to frost
Stars as its mares
Novas for the knights
Sirius guards the gates and welcomes rare.
Nature reigns as supreme artist
For there is no level
Lovely, suppressed and oppressed
As a goddess-like stature
Frozen in time's desert stirring
Creating history and love in crystallized tints;
Beautiful young maiden, forever mature
Highlighted in dreamy darkness and perfect amethyst borders
Cloaked by a love for dusk
Outlined in the awakening of its immortal end:
A crowing of dawn.

Loved the line highlighted in dreamy darkness and perfect amethyst borders, cloaked by a love for dusk, and it's demise at the rise of dawn. Well done. Blessings.

I love that you never said anything specifically about the moon in there; that is exactly what I was hoping for in this contest. I don't think that by reading this I would know that you were talking about the moon, but that didn't matter too much. Beautiful write. My favorite lines are:
Highlighted in dreamy darkness and perfect amethyst borders
Cloaked by a love for dusk
Thanks for entering, and good luck

Wow. This is awesome!! I absolutely love going out side at night(as long as there aren't a lot of bugs around
). I love going out into a field and just lying there in the grass and looking up at the night sky and watching the moon and the stars and everything else out in the heavens. I think it's awesome the way you described the moon and stars and stuff as royalty. The ending is really great too. "Outlined in the awakening of its immortal end: A crowning of dawn." It's like the royal vizier who has been hoping for the throne but then the bright young prince comes along and claims it.
Great job!!!
